William and Sarah Herlingshaw's Children

There were eleven children:

  Olive, the first-born from 1914 died in 1917 aged almost 3 years and 6 months:

  George William was born in 1917 but died at, or soon after, birth.

  James Norman (known to everybody as "Norman") was born in September 1918, and died in 1986.

  William was born in December 1920, and died in 1988:

  Louis Raymond was born on the very last day of 1922 and died in March 2016 aged 93.

  Mary was born in 1925, but died after less than 4 months.

  Twins Ivy and Audrey were born early in 1927, but Audrey died two years later.

  Clifford was born at the end of 1932.

  Harriett and Bella both died at birth and no dates appear to have been recorded.

This was Louis Raymond in Durban, South Africa during WW2. He met his brother William there on the 5th December 1942.

Below is Clifford with his wife Alice, both sadly deceased:

William Herlingshaw (born William Shaw) was born in 1884 and died in 1956 aged 71.

Sarah Ann Herlingshaw (born Sarah Ann Wilkinson) was born in 1892 and died in 1964 aged 71 or  72.

Babies Harriett and Bella were probably named after two of Sarah Ann's sisters.
